Welcome

The Western New York Women's Fund has a vision of a community where all women and girls have the opportunity to thrive.  To that end, our mission is to be a leader in identifying, communicating and funding innovative, effective solutions that improve the lives of women and girls in Western New York.  We believe, with the right resources, women and girls will make informed choices that will forever change their lives and our community.  Our goal is to help them seize opportunities, avoid common risks and believe in a successful future…because we believe in them.

The Fund acts as a social change agent by accelerating transformation in the community.  This organization has the distinction of being the only one in Western New York solely focused on supporting solutions to the issues facing women and girls.  The initiatives funded through the WNY Women's Fund are successful, providing long-term solutions which prepare women and girls to grow, achieve and prosper.  These important programs encourage system change by providing resources that lead to skill building, self-sufficiency, education and social responsibility.  The process is cyclical, as the women and girls that we are helping will eventually help others in this community and beyond.

The following principles guide the work of the WNY Women's Fund, both internally and externally:

  • Integrity
  • Learning
  • Collaboration
  • Respect
