19th Annual ATHENA Award Ceremony
Tuesday, April 29, 2008

The WNY Women's Fund joined with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership to present the 19th Annual ATHENA Award Luncheon on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. The ATHENA Award recognizes individuals who, through their professional experience, dedication, community service and support for the goals of professional women, have contributed to the status of women in the Buffalo Niagara region.

Sherry Bradford, Sr. Margaret Carney, Ann Evanko,
Sharon Hanson, Connie Vari, Ann McCarthy, Joan Stovroff,
Lisa Cilano

There were 11 fabulous nominees from Western New York working in fields ranging from real estate to health care.  These women have reached the highest levels in their fields and contributed meaningfully to their community.  Ann Evanko, Vice President of Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., was the 2008 ATHENA recipients.  Kudos to Ann!

Over the past six years, many outstanding women have been nominated for this prestigious honor and a record number of people have attended the event, which has raised over $ 225,000 in support of the WNY Women's Fund.
